Caster Sockets - Grip Ring Sockets and Grip Neck Sockets

Installing casters on some chairs and furniture will require the use of a socket. The socket usually will go into a hole or tubing which is larger than the diameter of the stem. ALL Grip Neck Stems require a socket. It is the socket that holds the caster and thus the socket must be securely attached to the chair or furniture. When installing a socket, it should be snug. If the hole for the socket is slightly larger than the socket, you can use a few turns of vinyl electrical tape around the socket to increase it's diameter.
